Bible Classes
Study To Show Yourself Approved. 10 of 11
Series: An Eleven Part Series Aimed At Developing And Increasing Bible "Study" Skills. All right so first question my one review question is what is the purpose of Bible
study? Okay that is not the class definition so I'm asking for the class
definition not for you know the generic you know understand the will of God
which is definitely the purpose but yeah to understand the intent so he used a
shorthand but this is that's fine to understand the intended meaning of the
inspired author so there's a couple of specific turns of phrases the
intended meaning is because we can put any kind of meaning we want in
scripture if you just project what you want it to mean on to it but that's not
what Bible study does now some people use the Bible and and you know what you
call a topical sermon or topical kind of sermon or really proof texting or
what you might call a I don't know launch pad kind of the premise is you say
okay here's a verse how's it helped me say what I want to say instead of saying
here's a verse what does it say so the intended meaning is really important of
the inspired author now the Bible says all sorts of uninspired things you say well
what do you mean by that the Bible will truthfully and accurately inspired by the
Holy Spirit quote people who are not inspired and who tell lies so it the Bible
truthfully and accurately quotes Satan as he says the Lord you surely will not die
right now you surely will not die is not the words of the inspired author it's
it is the words of Satan talking lying to Eve and so if you take that
scripture and you use it as now that I'm thinking about it okay so I saw it was
like one of those scripture notepads like inspirational quote of the day and it
said it said all these things I will give to you if you bow down and worship me
it says inspirational quote less inspirational if you know who said it but you
know because that's how Satan tempted Jesus but they put it in all these things
I'll give to you if you bow down and worship me like oh there's an
inspirational Bible quote see that's when we say inspired author what we're
saying is the intended meaning of the inspired author in that case was to say
how Satan lied that is not we're not supposed meant to take you know that
verse and use it as an inspirational quote of how if we serve God he's
going to give us hard hearts desires right and so that's what we mean the
intended meaning of the inspired author you could read the book of Job there's
all sorts of false doctrine Job is basically a book of false doctrine even Job
primarily like not primarily but in a lot of ways teaches false doctrine in that
book because nobody understands God and the whole book is a logical like
dialogue on how can I discern who God is through nature and people are making
the argument well good things happen to good people bad things happen to bad
people bad things are happening to you therefore you're bad okay so that was
an argument made in Job that is not a true argument and so you just have to say
okay what's the meaning of the inspired author rather than just what does
it say and what does it mean to me yeah yeah yeah exactly and so so there's a
variety of ways it's done but yeah it's basically the intended meaning of the
authors the intended meaning of God and so you have to take into account who's
he saying it to when he's saying it you know what language is he saying it in
because that's all going to get us down to okay what's the intended meaning of
the author and what's he trying to get across to us so that's our goal to
understand the intended meaning of the inspired author or probably you know
what Mike and Rick said you know understand the will of God understand the
meaning of the author like those are probably simpler ways of saying it I would
just say it in that way because it kind of there's several points to it more
as a thesis statement all right so I'm gonna put you on the spot what are or what
was something you found interesting or wanted to know about from your Bible
reading this week so we're just gonna what you read your Bible have a question
come up what's something you read this week and you said okay well I'd like to
know a bit more about that I'm putting you on the spot I know it's like okay
wasn't expecting that question and a lot of times you don't formulate it in
the question however this is a little bit tongue-in-cheek but if you can't
remember just go to your notebook the one you write your questions down in and
the reason I bring that up is because I mentioned when you read your Bible have
a notebook write down questions you know and and the bottom line out I see
Becky raised her answer but the bottom line is you know it's easy to take a
class like this and to walk away from it and never practice anything we use
and you're gonna have it lost in about six months right like after six months
I'll probably have to rewrite this whole class because it'll be lost to me
even though I do it all the time like it's it's just the way our minds work right
is it's just difficult if you get a tool and you never use it then you're not
gonna have a useful tool and so I just with that question is really meant to put
you on the spot and to remind you that and we have a whole class on what's the
benefit in your life for reading the Bible and and I think there were eight
benefits in that class that Mason taught and you have to have a desire to gain
those benefits like that's the bottom line that you have to have if you don't
have that desire then you know what we're talking about this you know Sunday
morning this year is gonna be a lot more uncomfortable to you because we're
talking about disciples and disciples know the word of Christ and if you don't
make an effort to know the word of Christ how you gonna live it how you gonna
teach your family to do it how you gonna show a light in in the community you're
part of at the end of loop chapter 14 it says if salt has become saltless it
tasteless it is worthless well what is the taste of the salt what's the thing
that preserves us what's the thing that causes us to be a preservative to this
community or to your family or to yourself sort of God right if salt does not
have the qualities of salt then it's worthless and so I'm bringing that up and
I'm kind of saying it in a harsh way and this this is also something I have to
remind myself of because even though I study to teach a lot I can be lacks in
my personal study and that's something that I need to keep up on as well because
it's just you know there's different ways you study the scripture depending on
what you're trying to accomplish and so I'm just reminding us all that it's
difficult and I'm looking at myself and saying yeah I see the difficulty in it so
I'm not trying to exclude myself this is a hard question for me it's a hard
question for everyone but it's a question we have to be willing to answer for
ourselves right when you get to so I heard a joke this this week and it was
somebody saying raise your hand if you've read the Bible all the way through
he's like now I'm not trying to make you guys feel bad about not reading the
whole Bible but you're gonna have to avoid some conversations in heaven when
some cops you're gonna have to avoid some people talking with them when we get
to heaven because here comes Obediah oh hey this is Obediah hey did you read my
book would you think about my book what if you never read Obediah's book how
are you gonna answer that he's like oh Zephaniah hey Zephaniah come here and
meet them it's like oh hey I'm Zephaniah did you did you read my book had you
would you think about my book and he's like he's like you should read your whole
Bible through save you a lot of awkward awkward conversations when you get to
heaven do you don't have to avoid people but I think that I thought that was a
good point is it's just like how are you gonna answer when you get to heaven yeah
yeah I'll get back to you yeah Molly
I'm just go ahead I'm just having a pen real quick
articulating an articulate sentence okay okay I'm just writing that down
so I'll yeah and so a question like that is good because you say okay now how
do I answer that that's what's going through my mind how would I even begin
the answer that question what do I need to know about in order to answer a
question like that but that's you know a lot of times that's what happens right
you're studying your Bible you have a question like that it's a difficult this
is a extreme probably a particularly difficult question to answer and so you
might say okay how do I go about answering I'm gonna go to Becky real quick
because she did raise her hand a while ago and we noted it so go ahead Becky
okay so almost like does God does God mirror I guess I would be someone mirror
us yeah that's a good question as well you guys are asking hard questions so
but you have a question like that come up all right how would you let's just
talk about this as a group you're gonna try and solve that problem how do you
solve it
okay yeah so Bruce is talking about the angel questions like all right you got
to find something about angels okay what do angels do and where how do we rank
compared to Molly so specifically go to my
and look up and you know the things that are said about angels and read the
scriptures and by the way about the second question to her credit Becky found
several scriptures that gave evidence of the answer yeah yeah so the question is
how did Becky find those yeah and so how did you find a Becky what was your
process yeah yeah no but what Becky said is pretty good right that like if I
was gonna say where would I even start with this I would probably start by
cross-referencing treasury scripture knowledge is cross-referencing and so
that's that's how I would go about it and so you see Becky used one of the tools
we talked about okay I want to know more about this verse how do I find out and
and so you might say okay let's go ahead and what was that so I'm 18 so I'm 18
and 25 so with the kind you show yourself kind with the blameless you show
yourself blameless with the pure you show yourself pure with the crooked you
show yourself astute and so yeah you see this kind of a mirroring kind of a
thing so you might say okay where where do we hear something like this before
and so you know here's first Kings 8 so you we could just start cross-referencing
some of this some of these sorts of things and and maybe something Jesus said
right Matthew 5.7 but there are the merciful for they shall receive mercy so
that's kind of similar or you might look this this is basically you know
very similar cross-references yeah I'm surprised that
that that's not something that's coming up in there right is you know yeah but
if we pull this up so if we go over here to the information guide let's just
actually have one more identity pull up one more guy it's the
yeah sorry I'm I'm just pulling up another tool here so this power lookup is
is a cross-reference tool so we highlight that and so you can go through here
and it'll show you okay here's very similar scriptures that you know so you
can so you get some cross-reference tools on that and so you might I might use
something like that is so or you're not seeing anything well that makes it a
lot less fun so I'm not sure why I think turned off we'll see if it comes back
on so because I wanted to show you guys but yes so cross-referencing probably
I said where I start with the Hebrews too I mean cross-referencing is a
pretty good tool and then you might say okay well we're not just going to go
ahead and cross I think my computer went to sleep and so it caused that guy to
go to sleep so we'll keep we'll make sure we keep it up so cross-referencing is
a good tool and then you might say okay well where does the Bible talk about
angels now that's gonna be a lot that's kind of a slog kind of Bible study oh
go ahead yeah you might ask something about angels or start looking into that
and say okay well in what way are we similar to angels in what way are we
different than angels and I think that would be a good thing to compare right
I say okay what is the Bible say about angels well one thing I can off top my
head is okay angels are fellow servants so we have that in common with them
angels you know represent God and men can do the same thing so you know you
can start going through that and you say okay well angels have access to the
presence of God where we don't have access to the presence of God sorry I'm
trying to can't walk and chew gum but I'm trying to connect up to this guy but
it's not wanting to I don't know why it's not finding it so we might have to go
without which isn't oh we're good we're good I just thought do us think yeah so
so there's a thing is you know angels have and so you go through and you start
saying well why is that relevant now so why is that relevant yeah neither do I
and so you'd have to go through and you start collecting information you start
making this comparison because likely you know a little while lower than the
angels that's something that someone in scripture said and why would they
frame it that way why would they talk about it that way sounds like a
psalm to me that's being quoted there and so you start going through okay what
does that mean how does that work what's that gonna and so you start asking
questions and then you once you kind of get familiar with the territory I might
say okay who's a guy that is pretty good about explaining things I might look
up the psalm and I might use Kyle and Deliche to see what they have to say about
it because they're pretty good about giving explanations for hard things like
that and so I might go to a commentary like Kyle and Deliche where they're kind
of technical and and not too charismatic in the way they look at things and they
might say okay here's the reasons why here's some things to consider here's some
verses to look at and that might take you down a path that would get you
closer to your answer so I so that's that's really as we start talking about
okay well how do I answer my questions when you read the Bible there are some
curious things so I'm going to use an example of this that I wrote down just
because this was something that kind of sent me down a research path at one
point in my life but this is in in first Corinthians 15 I read this these
couple of verses and you'll see you'll notice on I have these highlighted with a
box or marked out with a box in verses three and four for I delivered to you as
first importance what I also received that Christ died for our sins according to
the scriptures and he was buried and that he was raised on the third day according
to the scriptures so the thing I got specifically sidetracked on is okay when
Paul says according to the scriptures Christ was raised on the third day what
scriptures that's my question what scriptures what are some ideas that you
have like you read that first thing I do okay what ideas pop into my head I had
I had two one of them I think is harder to follow than the other but one of them
so anyway but those are my two ideas well what are your ideas okay
prophecies in the Old Testament so there's a general thing do you have any
specific Bible accounts that come to mind when you think of three days in the
grave that would be according to scripture what did he say
okay so yeah so so Jesus foretold it right now but that's not according to
scriptures that's according to Christ when okay so let's ask the question when
he says according the scriptures what's he talking about Old Testament
writing so that would be what Molly said okay some sort of prophecy in the
Old Testament now what prophecy in the Old Testament specifically says the
Christ is gonna die and raise on the third day so that is not where you're gonna
find it so it is difficult right like here's the two that come to mind one of
them is because Jesus said it I'll give you the sign of Jonah who spent three
days and three nights in the belly of the well right and so there's his
reference to raising from the dead now you can learn something from that but
that's a difficult one because when you read Jonah did you ever get
resurrection out of that like the book doesn't reference it like yeah there's
there's some difficulty with that but Jesus said okay the way I read the Bible
Jonah is a very clear explanation of what I'm going to do all right so you can
actually learn okay so it's not got you're not gonna find it on the surface but
you're going to find it after things after a third day that you might be able
to point to and then here's the other one is and I and you can pick this up from
Hebrews where Hebrews chapter 11 it talks about how Abraham received his son
back from the dead and you say okay well where was that Genesis 22 and if
you read Genesis 22 God said go ahead and kill your son Abraham and Abraham
never killed him but it was three days before the Lord stayed his hand and
Hebrews the book of Hebrews says when the Lord stayed his hand he received him
back from the dead because he considered him dead because of what he was gonna
do you say okay that's on the third day so that gives us a couple of Bible
accounts that are not about resurrection on the third day but what you see is
life was restored or preserved on the third day so there's a pattern to these
two stories a very similar similar things and and there's another aspect of
this is when you understand what happened with Jesus you can read the Old
Testament through the lens of Jesus and see something pop out that you didn't
wouldn't pop out unless you knew how Jesus was fulfilled and so that's that's
what Paul saying is you read through scripture it's the third day so let's
talk about how do we find these third day accounts now show you how I would do
it which you guys probably don't have the tool I have but so I'm gonna make it
jealous let's just do this so I'm gonna do a search of the Bible so third
and day so that's going to give us every scripture that says third and day in
the same scripture so we're not they're not all gonna be accurate so but we
can start going through this okay Genesis 1 13 so I'm gonna go ahead and move
our hyperlink one over here so Genesis 1 and 3 there was evening there was
morning a third day so what happened on the third day do you suppose let the
waters below the heavens together hang on then God said yeah so on the third
day specifically verse 11 let the earth sprout vegetation plants yielding seed
fruits earth bearing fruit so he basically on the third day you had mud or on
the second day you had mud you had dirt you had water on the third day the earth
became alive isn't that interesting so the third day of creation was the day
God put life into a basically a carcass of a world he brought it to life he
and when we look at an area like why do people like the Pacific Northwest so
much because so green and it looks like it's alive right and so that's so there's
the third day in Genesis chapter 22 here's on the third day Abraham raised his eyes
and saw the place from a distance so this is where he's taking Isaac to the
mountain third day he gets there on that day his son was restored to him from
the dead so I don't think this is significant Jacob playing from Laban so I
don't know if this is significant Genesis 34 that's when when simian and Levi
their daughter was abused or their sister was abused and so they had all the
guys get circumcised and on the third day they went and slaughtered them so
maybe that is it would be kind of the counter right like when Jesus
raised from the dead some people are going to be brought to life others will
be judged and so you might see something like that in there but that would be
a little bit more difficult for me Genesis 40 this is interesting so the cut
bear and the bread guy have a dream and and come to Joseph with a dream the
translation is on the third day you're gonna be restored and on the third day
you're gonna be beheaded so do you like if you go through that story there's
definitely some third day implications about resurrection in that particular
story and even think what are the symbols of the Lord's upper bread and wine
what were the things in that story bread and wine like you can you there are
some definite correlations to scripture in this you go through to but anyway we
start going through this and we say okay well what are all the things that
happened I'm Exodus 19 this is where they're gonna go see God on the third day
they approached the throne of heaven and had a feast with the Lord so that I think
as a you probably could say is a third day reference you get down into Joshua
it was on the third day you know when the Gibyanites came they made it look like
all their stuff was old though we came from a long journey we just want to make
a treaty with you and so Jonathan wasn't supposed to try and sign a treaty with
the people of the land because they were all utterly condemned to death so just
the state as a Gibyanites they were judged and condemned and God had put a
death sentence on them they deceived Joshua okay do you know Jesus's name in
Hebrew Joshua yeah and so they this so but in this case you know Joshua signed
a treaty he shouldn't have signed this is not representing Jesus however on the
third day it was discovered and the Gibyanites judgment was lifted by God he
said no we sworn oath we're keeping you're keeping the oath and 400 years later
or something Saul broke that oath and Saul that was a major part of why Saul was
removed his king it's because he broke his oath by slaughtering the Gibyanites
like so so God kept that over generations and so you can see very interesting
third day recommendation on that you might go through and so you can go through
when you say okay here's a third day things well so you start going through and
this just says 132 results in 54 verses so there's for potentially 54 third day
references probably more like 23 or 24 if you say okay these ones clearly have
the same pattern as Jonah or the same pattern as Genesis but this was this would
be a way you could do it you could also put three days if you put that in quotes
and then you'll find every Bible verse that has three days together and you'll
find more so but you say okay well when he says on the third day as the
scripture says how are we going to find it well that's a that to me was a very
instructive study because you realize okay it's not always going to be just on
the clearly stated but it is in there and it's in there and following the same
pattern that Jesus used and also the Hebrew writer used to recognize something
like that so so we can do that stuff but you just say okay how do I get there
how do I how do I go about answering this question so now let's do another one
in James chapter 212 we've studied this but here's the it says well just turn
there real quick as I can't recall the exact words so speaking so act is
those who are judged by the law of liberty so my question is what's the law of
liberty the gospel something about the gospel why is he call it the law of
liberty and just prior he's quoting the law of Moses so there's got to be some
sort of distinction there but how would you go about answering that question if
you just didn't know and you just said okay how do I answer that question how
do we go about it what would you do Mason but I'm gonna put my son on the spot
teen class like you get put on the spot all right what did you do Mason good
good question so you may be crossed over the cross reference is this term ever
used in other places in the bible so we might pop that out and it says okay
James 125 look intently at the perfect law the law of liberty and whoever
looks at the perfect law the law of liberty and bides by it not having
become a forgetful here but an effect will do or so this is something written
down something we can like read and find out and so you say okay well maybe
that's something there's another way that James so let's just say we'll do
a search and we'll say okay well you're gonna use the word law and instead of
all Bible text all passages that's what I want so let's just go to in the book
of James let's see everywhere James uses the word law and so you might come
through and you say okay well here he calls it the royal law and what's the
royal law you should love your neighbors yourself okay so why is that the
royal law and you might say what did Jesus say about loving your neighbors
yourself and so you could you could say okay let's go and look at this now let's
go ahead and cross reference okay that's from Leviticus love your neighbors
yourself let's see if there's another cross reference here Matthew 712 so
Jesus taught it that way but I have something else come into my mind and I just
happen to know it I think it's Matthew 2236 and he says the greatest law is
love your neighbor or love the Lord you gotta follow your heart soul and
strength second is like this love your neighbor is yourself on these two hang
all the law and the prophets what Jesus saying is these are axioms of the law
like these are the fundamental principles through which all the laws are
derived and so Jesus says the royal law his law is love your neighbors
yourself and so if you love your neighbors yourself any application of that is
righteous okay so that's Jesus's and so he doesn't have to write us
legislate like Moses legislated to tell us here's how to do the right thing he
gives us an example and tells us the principle he's working by and now we as
Christians we can apply this principle to anything we come across which makes
us more free and makes us more bound than the law right yeah yeah well why is
it the law of liberty yeah well we're free because we're living by a
principle right and so maybe in the Old Testament there was a statement about
you know it says put a parapet around your up top floor balcony right and so
if you're gonna go up on the roof you gotta have a railing so people don't fall
off why would you have to have a railing so people don't fall off yeah no let's
let's you're right but the answer is because I'm loving my neighbor right I'm
looking out for people I'm caring for them so you have this this place and it
doesn't have a staircase that leads up to it now under law Moses you might
still have to put up a railing because it says put up a railing under law of
liberty you can decide okay no one's going up there it doesn't need a railing
I'm free to choose so I have liberty right and so that's the difference between
the law of Moses where you just got to do what it says regardless of the
reasoning behind doing it where with the law of Christ you get to say okay what's
the best way to love my neighbor in this instance and and what is it
require of me and there might be a situation where Moses's law wouldn't require
something but in order to be loving you have to do it so it's the law of liberty
because you're free to decide what the best course of action according to the
ethic that you follow in Christ right and so you can start going through and
saying okay well why is it called why is this the thing well here's the
principle you're going by you might then go and find other places like you
know in my mind Galatians what is it Galatians six two and it says bear one
others burdens thereby fulfilling the law of Christ well you say okay what's the
law of Christ and look at all these cross references that come up you case for
the law of the spirit of life is in Jesus Christ set you free from the law of
sin and death so this contrast Moses to Jesus's law and you might say okay nine
twenty one those who are without laws those without law but not without the
law of Christ you looking James so you can start going through here it's
seeing okay what does this mean how does this play out what is the Bible say
about it and you could do you by researching this if you have a pretty good
sermon to teach okay what's the law of Christ what's the royal law and so it all
starts by I'm curious about this he uses this term and I don't I wonder what
the Bible definition for that term is I wonder what the inspired writers
intended for me to understand when I look at this I had another question I
we're not going to go through as much on this this but here's another one I'll
let you guys we could talk about it for sec this is Jude verse 11
what of them for they have gone the way of Cain and pay and for pay they rush
headlong into the era of Balam and perished in the rebellion of Korah what does
that mean I think what he's saying is here's what false prophets false
teachers do they gone the way of Cain and you might say okay well what did
Cain do he hated his brother and committed murder he was warned to master
yourself or since gonna because since desires to master you but he didn't listen
to that warning and murdered his brother you say okay well what did Balam do
what kind of tells you for pay they have rushed headlong into the era of Balam
Balam was greedy and Balam sought to circumvent the will of the Lord in order
to get his payday and so you say okay what are false teachers doing oh we're
gonna circumvent the will of the Lord in order to get our payday what about
the rebellion of Korah what happened with the rebellion of Korah yeah well what
they did is they refused to accept the leaders that God put in place right and so
they did not I don't like what Moses is doing what gives him the right I also can
make decisions I also have the Holy Spirit and can lead well guess what God
says I don't care what you think listen to my leaders right they fell into the
rebellion of Korah what's that mean they're doing well let's just make it
practical right is I disagree with the elders I'm not gonna listen to them I'm
gonna do my own thing I'm gonna I'm going to depart from them because I'm
unwilling to be shackled to them like yeah that's the rebellion of Korah that's
exactly what the what Korah did and God said okay I'm gonna demonstrate that these
are my leaders and he caused Aaron's branch to bud and if we were going to take
a guess how long did it take for Aaron's branch to bud maybe three days like
that might be something worth looking at even if it wasn't three days you have
this dead stick and it comes back to life and begins bearing fruit now that is
a sign of something in the future so just so at least you know you so you see
some of that but yeah I mean it's so you say okay well when you read something
like that you say well how do I find that out what would be a good simple
tool like what do you think cross reference that's what I would start with cross
reference I would also just I wouldn't even use this search thing I have I
would go to Google and I would type in rebellion of Korah and I'd find out okay
what chapter of the Bible's it in and then I would read it from that chapter I
wouldn't read what Google said I would just find it quickly through Google here
is a principle for that if you're interested Einstein said don't memorize
anything you can look up in under five minutes Google I could look it up in
under five seconds so it's a good tool if you say okay I think I remember
something in the Bible somewhere or Bruce brought up well then Paul say
something about to the Gentiles I became like the Gentiles to the Jews I've
came like the Jews and in say okay where would you say that type that in real
quick Google will find that super fast for you and you can find go read that
verse immediately so that's a super helpful tool as well just Google using it
to just find what you're looking for or because even on my program here if I
don't use very precise wording it's just dumb like it has no clue if I don't use
the exact words or it's not like thinking outside the box at all where Google
does pretty good at taking kind of the gist of what you're saying and finding it
for you so anyway so it so you could do that and and so yeah but you just say
okay but I'm not the Bible instruct me on it I'm gonna find out what the Bible
does and so the point is is is what we're getting at here is you know start
going through that you might say okay I want more insight on the rebellion of
Korra after I read about it you can read a commentator that talks about it a
lot of commentators have some pretty good insights on that I was thinking about
preaching on that for a while so I did it did kind of basically the full
research packet on it and there's some pretty interesting things about the
rebellion of Korra one thing is that's fascinating is the ground opened up
swallowed their whole like company and closed yeah and I was thinking I would
never want to stand on the ground again right like if you watched like the
ground opened up like in in Star Wars is this thing called the Star Lap or
something or and it's like this sand pit with like a monster at the bottom that
just eats you but you know it's like that it's like I that would just be
terrifying and then I was talking to Mel about it and she's like does that mean
if we go dig somewhere we're gonna find this can't this tent encampment somewhere
deep underground because that's where you know they were small it says they were
brought into she all alive and so we talked so much about Enoch Enoch was and
then he wasn't for the Lord took him one of the the first man who didn't
actually die and then you say okay where's Korra you got brought into she
all alive so kind of like Enoch like you know maybe that's that's a bad deal
so anyway so you'll find interesting things like that in the in the Bible as
well as you this you start going through this process but really your
curiosity is going to be a big friend you got to ask a question and all the
tools we talked about are just tools to help you say okay follow the path see
where it leads asking a good question like if you can just be like notice
things as you read and ask a good question you're gonna that's what's gonna
make the Bible just bloom in front of you like you're gonna really see it come
alive and you're gonna really see the beauty of what God does and just the
fascinating on just the fact you can cross reference right the Bible's
coding itself so many times like that is that is like you think about what other
book does that what other like text of this form can even work like that like
really if you think about it God has been doing this since he's been having
people write the Bible but it's kind of the logic that same logic that actually
AI uses right it just reference cross references everything and give some
sort of a value to it but God invented that by when he wrote the Bible it's just
kind of interesting like there's an advanced technology at use in the
scripture you know if you say okay it does things that men didn't think about
till later before you know before we invented it has to and so anyway it's just
kind of interesting as you start thinking through and seeing what God does
in scripture oh yeah at least maybe maybe yeah maybe longer yeah I mean
really is you think about it's yeah probably six thousand years ahead right
well Mark said something to me he was working on some sort of algorithm
for when he worked at Rovini and he's like yeah it's really hard but I know God
already invented the technology I just need to figure it out and I thought and
and but when he said it's God invented every kind of technology when he
created and I and I was thinking yeah because he knows what everything does
like he knows how everything works and so if there it's that also made me think
God uses technology right and you think okay well then what's our body
seems like some kind of an advanced technology if you really think about what
it's doing it's taking food and processing it's like you know some sort of cold
fusion you're getting energy from other things like anyway
that that kind of sent me off on a rabbit trail of its own you know Mark throwing
that out at me but but it's interesting it just another way we can trust the
Lord right so anyway but yeah just using scripture in that way cross
references are super helpful but there's also there's all these tools we've
been talking about and really I think if you say okay I'm asked a question I'm
going to try and answer this question from the Bible all these stuff will kind
of naturally be useful to you don't have to think well how do I do that again
you might have to a little bit but it's actually useful because it's all and
for the purpose of answering this interesting question that you have and so
the more you use it the more readily you're going to be able to say okay I know
a pathway to find an answer to this question so we're out of time so let's go
ahead and wrap up with a word of prayer
